Get your hands on one of 50 subsidised tickets to the Conference Day (22nd April)

We have already awarded 20 tickets to either:

People in an under-represented group in tech.

This includes (but is not limited to): people of colour, LGBTQIA+ people, women and disabled people

Or

Or

People with limited funds.

This includes (but is not limited to): part-time bootstrapping entrepreneurs, very early stage startups with no funding, not-for-profits

How it works

  1. Complete the Application form (takes on average 12 minutes to complete).
  2. As part of the application you will indicate how much a ticket to Leanconf would be worth to you. That is what you will pay.
  3. We then assess your application based on need and impact.
  4. If accepted, complete the application by purchasing the ticket.

Allowing applicants to name their own price means we need to support this with sponsorship money to cover the costs. That's where Tech North and AutoTrader come in. With their help we are able to run this scheme.

Please note that your application will be treated with the utmost privacy, and we will not publicly announce who the community tickets go to (though you're welcome to say so yourself).

FAQs

How are applications assessed?

We ask ourselves the following questions

  1. Will this person benefit from attending Leanconf?

Are they going to maximise their time at Leanconf. Learn as much as they can and create new connections. We can usually tell by how passionate someone is and how much effort they have put into the application.

  2. Is this person trying to get a cheap ticket?

If you are submitting an application due to lack of funds we will look at your circumstances closely.

We are a community run, volunteer staffed event. It's all organised in our free time. If you can afford to pay for a ticket then please do, it will help us make Leanconf a sustainable event.
This is not a way to get cheap tickets if you are a consultant or employed by a larger organisation.

I've submitted an application. When will I know if I've been successful?

We release applications in rounds. After the applications close we will let you know if you have been successful a few days after the application rounds deadline.

How will you contact me if I am successful?

We will send you an email.

What is included in the community ticket?
